This 12-day itinerary is available from November through April and designed for class III / IV kayakers, river boarders or rafters with limited whitewater experience. A mix of whitewater action, relaxation and the best of Guatemala’s cultural, historic and natural attractions makes this experience a world class adventure!
 
Paddle four days of class III and IV rapids on the Rios Lanquin and Cahabon, named by Paddler Magazine as one of the twelve best jungle river trips in the world.
 
Wander the cobblestoned streets of Antigua, a 16th century city surrounded by volcanoes, and recently named by the UK’s Wanderlust Magazine as the top travel city in the world.
 
Climb temples that reach above the jungle canopy at Tikal, the best-preserved archeological site in the Mayan world.

Float through Rio Dulce National Park, a canyon waterway that provides sanctuary during the hurricane season and habitat for more species of birds than the United States and Canada combined.

Hike the Biotop Quetzal, cloud forest reserve of resplendent Quetzal, sacred bird of the ancient Maya.

Swim in Semuc Champey’s emerald pools, where the Cahabon River plummets under a natural limestone bridge.
